Maddy Greenwald Art
About Maddy
Maddy's paintings are inspired by travel and finding beauty in the everyday. Through the use of vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes, she creates a sense of place at a particular moment in time. She recently moved back to the DC area and her current work focuses on rediscovering the beauty of her hometown. She is represented by Calloway Fine Art in Georgetown, DC.
As a Toronto based artist until 2022, her previous work focussed on capturing the uniqueness of the Canadian landscape. Her work was exhibited in galleries throughout Toronto including at Arta Gallery, Twist Gallery and Blue Crow Gallery, and in juried shows with the Society of Canadian Artists and the Ontario Society of Artists. In 2021, she had a solo show, "Beautiful Ontario" at the Niagara Pumphouse Gallery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Maddy's work has been acquired by collectors in the US, Canada and Europe.
Maddy studied art at the University of Wisconsin. She took a several year hiatus from painting to work as a women's health advocate and lawyer. She thrilled to be painting again! You can read more about her process and her story in Canvas Rebel.
